Weekend in Jackson Hole

Saurday was our anniversary so we decided that it waould be fun to get out of town and do something. We had just left the kids the week before when we went to girls camp so we felt too guilty to leave them again so soon. Kort was camping with Jeff and Sheila in Alpine so we thought it would be fun to head that way. I absolutely love Jackson so we decided that we would stay there for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went on the Alpine Slide (even Kaisley), ate tons of yummy food, stayed at a super nice condo, did lots of shopping, and even went on a stagecoach ride. It was such a great little get-away. We did tons of sight seeing on the way home and the girls were such troopers. Happy anniversary Chad!

Enjoyin' a little Pool Time

Yesterday we ventured to one of our favorite pools. The Pocatello pool (aka Ross Park Aquatic Complex ) is so much fun. We are so happy that the sun has finally decided to shine that we are trying to take advantage of every second of it. I hope to be posting many more swimming pics before the summer is over. I love summer but it goes by way too fast (Central air has contributed to my love of this season). Yesterday we went with My mom, Mandy, Alyssa, Jayse, Kieran, Emilee, Avyree and Kaylie.

Girls Camp

Yah This One Is Real !!!

Wow. Last week was a super crazy busy week. We headed up to girls camp Wednesday Morning and stayed until Friday. I wasn't quite sure about being the leader when they asked me but I guess that I had forgotten how fun Girls camp is. We had so much fun! The girls in are ward are absolutely amazing. We had 13 girls and not one single second of anything other than respect for each other and their leaders. I'm so glad for the opportunity to have been able to get to know all of them better. I'll be looking forward to next year. Oh Yah special thanks to Chad for being there the whole time and being our personal Chef also to Rich and Emily for leaving their taxidermied rattle snake in the care of the McCarthys. (he he he)!!

Bring On the Rapids!!

Chad and Kort went white water rafting down the Snake River in Jeffs new raft on Saturday. There were about ten other family members and friends that went as well. Despite a few minor setbacks (popping the new raft), They had an awesome time and can't wait to go again. Thanks Jeff!

Where did everybody go?

Hey Brady-You're suppose to stay INSIDE the boat.

Fishy Faces

Kieran stayed with us today while everyone went rafting. She kept Kambree and Kaisley entertained all day long. It was so nice that someone else was doing it for a minute. We took these pictures when we went to Big J's for lunch. Ya gotta love the kids meal prizes!

Swimming Lessons

Kambree has been taking swimming lessons at Downata this week. She was a little nervous before she went on Monday. She tried and tried to talk me out of going but being the big meanie I am I made her go anyway. She has been having a blast all week and getting a little braver every day. It's been lots of fun to be able to hang out with the cousins all week too!

Coolest mailbox ever!

As you may or may not know, I am our wards Girls Camp Director (I know you're all jealous). We were told by the stake that we need to come up with some sort of a mailbox because we are going to have secret wards at camp. Our theme is kind of a medieval one. We thought that it would be cute to do some kind of a castle type mailbox. Who could make our dream into a reality? Sheila of course. She is a creative genius. This is what she came up with. Isn't it awesome? Sheila, as Kortney would say "You are da Shiz."

Spring Cleaning

For the last three days I have been doing some major spring cleaning (what else do you do in this weather?) I have gone through cupboards, drawers, pantry, closets, trailer...you name it. There was one dreaded thing left to do before I was officially clutter free. The GARAGE. Chad has been after me for a while now because apparently my "crap" aka kids old clothes have been invading his man space. So I dove in today. Wow, How many clothes do three kids need? I have always been aware that Kambree has a shoe fetish but until now wasn't aware of the extent of it. I was organizing her old shoes into sizes to save for Kaisley . I got to size 9. She had 16 pair. Holy crap!!! I am in so much trouble with that girl. Well I ended up taking 4 garbage bags of clothes to a friend and 6 bags went to my neighbor who is doing a service project for an orphanage in Haiti. I'm exhausted but glad to be done. Chad is happy because once again he has control of his domain!!

Library Fun!!

Oh Sweet! Can I get your autograph Clifford?

Because it seems more like Christmas break than Summer Vacation we have had to come up with some alternate plans. We decided to check out the library today. Kambree of course was in Heaven. I think that she checked out about 7 chapter books. Kort said that he would just wait in the car. I made him come in even though I knew that there was no possibility of him leaving with a book of any sort. Kaisley was happy to see a lot of things to climb on and try to break. Oh well it entertained them for a while anyway. I wish the sun would Shine!!!

Of all of our kids, Kaisley is the most likely to join a rock band!

Snake Slayer by day Golf Ball Fisherman by night

Kort has come up with some interesting new activities this summer. Jeff and Sheila gave him a huge blow gun as a gift (So excited that they have a childs B-day coming up this month) anyway he's been putting it to use on the water snakes in the canal. I just know he likes to torture snakes because of all of those violent video games he plays. In the evening when the sun is just right he goes fishing for golf balls, On Saturday he found 81. We are currently in contact with the people at Guiness. I'm pretty sure that he has set a new record for the most golf balls found in a canal in one day. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with brothers but the things that this kid finds to entertain himself just never ceases to amaze me.

Memorial Weekend

Last weekend we decided to venture out. We didn't really have a plan in mind. We ended up in Pocatello. We got brave and took Kaisley to her very first movie (Horton). We found a little park and the girls had a ball playing on the playground. They also thought that the playland in the middle of the mall was great fun. Free entertainment is the best!

Taking the Plunge!!!

So I have finally decided to join the wonderful world of bloggers. I have been a blog stalker for months now. I think that blogs are so fun. I can't wait to get going so check back on a regular basis for updates on our crazy family!!
