A Day at the Zoo

Wow, what a crazy, busy week it has been. Last Wednesday Tanner (for those of you who may not know Tanner he is Korts good friend of ten years and pretty much our 4th child) had a pretty bad seizure at school. This was actually the second one in two days. They took him by ambulance to the hospital . Well after a few hours he started back into them. They decided to take him down to Primary Childrens to see if they could figure out what was going on. We kept his little brother and sister until Friday, and had a fun time with them. To make a long story short after five days down there, and several seizures later, they never did figure out where they are coming from. He is such a trooper , he's back at school and has had two just this week but he is so upbeat and just keeps going. So anyway on Sunday we decided to go to Salt Lake to visit him in the hospital. We decided to make a fun day out of it and so after we were done at the hospital we went over to Hogle Zoo and spent some time there. On our way home we stopped off at the brand new Chuck E Cheese in Layton and the kids had a blast!! On Monday the elementary had the day off of school so Melissa and I decided to take the girls to High School Musical 3. We went to lunch, the movie, and then did some shopping. On Wednesday we had Addie and Eli after school so we made sugar cookies and then went down to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. We carved them that night and the girls had a great time playing in the goo. Last night we went to a soccer banquet with Kort and that was a lot of fine. He has been one of the managers of the High School soccer team this year and has just had a ball. Well sorry for the long post but that's what our life has consisted of for the last few days.

Halloween Party

Three years ago Sheila and I had a brilliant idea that we would have a Halloween party for the kids. We are now in our third year and going strong, each year it seems to get a little bigger (not so sure about better) . This year we ended up with just about 50 kids. Yah it was a bit crazy but with 50 kids running around how could it not be? We had some fun activities such as candy corn relay, pinata, making thistle spiders, cake walk, candy bar game, feel the mummys insides and the hit seemed to be the mini-yo-yo (the horse walker with swings attached to it). Yah we feel like we might go insane for a few hours, however, when its all over and everyone has gone home we forget about the craziness and have some really fun memories.

Crazy Hair Day

Today was Crazy Hair Day in the third grade for those who had met their AR goal. We got up a little early so that we could do some crazy stuff. Kalli is staying with us while Tanner is in the hospital so I had two heads of crazy hair to do. If you are wondering if there was as much drama as there was on hat day the answer to that question is YES Ahhhhhhhhhhh !!

Welcome Baby Trace

We have a brand new nephew/cousin and we are so super excited. Vicki and Austin had their baby this afternoon around 1:00. The kids and I went over to the hospital to see them and he is just cute as a bug. It's kind of funny because Kort was the only boy in the family for about eleven years until Carson came along and now the score is Girls 6 Boys 4. Boys are catching up and Kort is getting himself together a little brotherhood. Congratulations guys we're looking forward to lots of fun times with the new little guy!!!

Haunted Arctic Circle

It seems that everywhere we have been going in our little town lately has a few spooks hanging around. Wednesday night Kambrees BFF Gracey came over with her mom. The girls weren't done playing when Dawn was ready to leave so she decided to stay and play a little longer. Gracey has the cutest little sister Reese who is 3 years old and so I thought that it would be fun to have her stay and play with Kaisley. They had such a fun time together. We decided to go and get something to eat and to our surprise when we got to Arctic Circle it was HAUNTED!! Well the girls had such a fun time playing (not sure that a lot of eating went on). They were so cute together that I just couldn't resist some pics and as you can see they were quite the posers.

Alien at the Grocery Store

So Kambree and I were just strolling along in the produce section of Stokes tonight and we came across this little guy. He was trying really hard to blend in with the eggplants but we spotted him while looking for a red pepper. He might fool some BUT NOT US !!!!!

Halloween Decisions

So this is the costume that Kort wants desperately for Halloween this year. I don't know. What do you think ?????

Sneak Peak

When we got home from Logan tonight the girls Halloween costumes had been delivered to our house. Right away Kaisley had to try hers on. She looked so stinkin' cute that I just had to post a little sneak peak pic of what she will be donning this Halloween season.

The Party Crashers

So Kort caught wind that Alyssa was going to be throwing a little bash last night and decided that the the best thing to do would be to crash it. He called in a little back-up help and armed with water ballons, water balloon launchers, and a 4-wheeler off they went. I'm sure that it took Alyssa about 1 second to figure out who the ring leader was behind the paint ball mask. Anyway after the sneak attack the 3 ended up joining the party.
