Snow Much Fun and a Concert Too!

Saturday morning we woke up to LOTS of snow! Kambree had the Rising Stars dress rehersal that morning and Concert that night (by the way she was fabulous) inbetween the two the kids played outside the whole day long. Lance and Lauren were here so that always makes weekends more fun. Chad built Kambree a fun little sledding hill and took her and the others sledding behind the 4-wheeler. The sled however, was not nearly exciting enough for Kort and Lance so they had to come up with something a little more extreme. As you can see from the video, we are never surprised what those two can find to entertain themselves. It turned out to be a really fun weekend. Hollingsworths- We Love Ya!!!

Champs

Kort has been enjoying being on an indoor soccer team this winter. His team mostly consits of a bunch of the J.V. players from the High School team, well there is another team that mostly consits of a bunch of the Varsity players from the High School team. We've all been patiently waiting for this particular game to see who would win, of course the obvious choice would be the Varsity but we as parents, and our boys have been thinking all along that our boys might be able to take them . Well last night was the big game and WE WON!!! It was a super close game the whole way and we won by scoring a goal in the last few seconds but regardless WE WON!!

LUNCH

On Sunday we were able to go to Salt Lake and have our Christmas Celebration with Grandpa and Grnadma Pope and the rest of the family. We started off with lunch at Chuck-A-Rama, then Grandpa and Grandma surprised the kids with a trip to Build-A-Bear. They bought eeach one an animal of their choice. Kambree and Kaisley chose the boy and girl Christmas moose (Kort opted for the cash). The kids had a great time choosing, stuffing, and clothing their new friends. Kort had a great time walking around the mall with his two so-called bodyguards (Jeff and Cliff). After that we went back to Grandpa and Grandmas and opened presents. We all got spoiled rotten. Kort got a gift certificate for American Eagle, Kambree got a new game for her D.S. and a Hannah Montana thing, Kaisley got a trunk full of dress-ups, and a new baby doll set. Uncle Dan gave them all gift certificates for Toys R Us, so we had to stop there on the way home. It was so fun for the kids to be able to play with their cousins, we're not able to see them very often, so it was fun to see everyone and hang out together. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Pope for everything!!!

Ward Party

Away In A Manger Keri and Kambree are little angels!!

Kambree and Addies favorite boy-Jack

Let's eat here every night

Tonight was our Ward Christmas Party. It was very nice and the food was really good. The best part about it was that our Primary put on a Christmas Pageant. The pageant was just sooo cute, Kambree was an angel and she did a great job. There was an exciting surprise at the end when Santa showed up, Kambree let him know what she would like for Christmas but Kort and Kaisley were both a little Santa shy. Way to go 10th Ward Party Planners!!

Bring It On

This Holiday Season I've decided to do things a bit differently, I just hate feeling rushed and crazy busy during the month of December so I vowed to accomplish as much as possible by the first of December in hopes that we could relax and enjoy the season a bit more this year. I think that I've done pretty well so far. My shopping is done, my tree is up, presents are wrapped (thanks to Kambree), house is decorated inside and out, Christmas cards aren't out but they are in the mail on their way to me, neighbor gifts are almost complete, even Kambree's Birthday is purchased and ready to go. WOW it's no wonder I dread December. Well we'll see how it all works out. By the way, Christina was wondering about my Black Friday Shopping. Truth is because of my complete lack of patience and total intolerance of crowds I would rather chew my arm off than attempt that nightmare. However, I did go up to Kings at about 9 AM. There were about ten people in the whole store and I found just what I needed. SWEET!!

Thanksgiving at our House

I have always kind of wanted to host a big Thanksgiving dinner but the thought of it made me a little nervous , I'm not really sure why because I actually really enjoy cooking. This year I decided to try it and I think that it turned out really well. We had the whole Porter family over except for Jeff, Sheila, and kids. Our menu consisted of Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, jello, baked carrots, cranberry sauce, 2 veggie trays, rolls with raspberry butter, a yummy punch, and of course some delicious pies. Thanks to everyone who came and made the day so fun. I am so thankful for FAMILY!!!
